Tldr: Do not ever go here. To preface this review, I never write reviews on Google despite having had bad experiences with other businesses. That being said, I find it necessary to write a review detailing the absolutely horrible experience I had at Mr. Tire in hopes that anyone reading this may consider a better business. This location deserves more 1 star reviews than are shown on Google Maps. While driving home after visiting family upstate, my check engine light started blinking. Luckily, I was about 2 minutes outside of Binghamton and was able to get it to the nearest shop, which ended up being Mr. Tire on Court Street. After diagnosing the problems with the vehicle, I was quoted a substantial amount of money to have the engine repaired, and was also upsold a "tune up" for another $300 that the main desk worker assured was necessary. I gave them the go ahead, and waited 3 hours while they worked on my car. The car was finally finished, and seemed to be working just fine. However, while driving on NY-17 no more than 40 minutes later, the check engine light starts blinking again. I was close to the nearest town, so I was hoping to find another mechanic to work on the car. Ins

I had a great experience my first time. I went in super early and was told that with out an appointment I will have to wait hours. There was only one car there and 4 people who missed there appointment. I had to call Nicole, guy who was in the front was so disrespectful. Definitely waiting on Nicole next time. she got made things right

I suffered a flat 200 miles from home on I-81. Mr. Tire of Binghamton had the specific performance tire I needed for a great price. The two managers were extremely helpful, the waiting area was comfortable, and I was back on my way in a reasonable amount of time. Highly recommend.

Women at the desk who checked me in had her hands FULL- she still maintained a great attitude and got me checked in right away. I asked her to tell them that I strictly wanted my tires changed with my new ones. Nothing more nothing less. That’s it. No brakes or washer fluid whatever else. And that’s exactly what I got. It was pretty quick - I did leave it for about an hour . Walked in paid and left. Super simple. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because the price was a little much. I paid 75$ for 2 tires to be mounted .. typically I believe it’s a dollar an inch. ( coming from a mechanic family) but this was the only place to get me RIGHT in last min on a Monday if all days. Thanks again to the lady at the front. You deserve raise.

False “low tread” upsell. Went in for a $26 tire rotation, came out with no work done and some dude trying to upsell me $900 tires. For my regular maintenance, I went in for a simple tire rotation for my 2023 RAV4 LE with 25k miles. Guy at the front desk said it would cost $26, which is very reasonable. Few minutes later, they drive my car into the car lift bay. Then, as I am waiting in the lobby, the front desk guy goes to bay and talks to the mechanic. Few minutes later, he goes up to me and says he won’t do the tire rotation because the tread on my tires are low. He plays the good guy and says, “I could have taken your money and done the rotation, but I’m not evil”. Then, proceeds to upsell me $900 tires. I thank him for the advice then leave. Here are pictures of my tires at the bottom. As you can see, they are in good condition with the wear bars very visible. I am now getting my car serviced at an honest mechanic shop (Jimmy’s mechanic shop) who double checked that my tire tread is great. This shop is dishonest and would not recommend to anyone. Honestly, don’t know how they have such a high rating.
